Our Association
Since 1983, the Kefalonia & Ithaca Hoteliers Association has served as the collective voice of the hotel industry across our islands, representing one of the most important pillars of the local economy while actively contributing to the development and promotion of tourism.
The Association was founded in 1983 by the late Nikiforos Korres, a visionary figure of Kefalonian tourism, who laid the foundations for a strong and respected industry organization. Over the decades, the Association has evolved into a key stakeholder in tourism development, advocating for the interests of hotel businesses and supporting the sustainable growth of tourism in Kefalonia and Ithaca.
A significant chapter in the Association’s history was written by Spyros Galiatsatos, who served as President for more than two decades, providing stability, leadership and a long-term vision during a period of remarkable growth for the local tourism sector.
Today, the Association enters a new era, building on its rich legacy while embracing the opportunities and challenges of modern tourism.

Beyond its institutional role, the Association works continuously to promote and upgrade the tourism product of both islands. Through close cooperation with local authorities, tourism stakeholders and business communities, it participates in tourism exhibitions, media and press visits, destination marketing initiatives and strategic projects aimed at increasing the visibility and attractiveness of Kefalonia and Ithaca in international markets.
Guided by the values of cooperation, professionalism and innovation, the Association remains committed to supporting its members and contributing to the sustainable development of tourism for future generations.
